Alzheimer's Research UK

We are Alzheimer’s Research UK's main digital agency, supporting them across their digital portfolio. We recently completed a project to rationalise their digital real estate, refresh their digital brand and bring their website in line with latest accessibility standards. As part of this project we re-built their main website to provide a more flexible platform to promote their mission and achieve their strategic aims.

The main aims of the project were to deliver a platform that helps to enhance the Alzheimer's Research UK brand, allows them to respond to outside events more readily, provides the flexibility to maximise conversions and supports the charity in communicating effectively with a variety of difference audiences.

The website build involved migrating the content from Alzheimer's Research UK's old website into the new architecture. New templates were created for the main content types. We carried out analysis of the website Analytics data to understand key user journeys. Areas of the website that had received little traffic were merged or trimmed. Areas that saw a lot of traffic were rebuilt using new, pre-styled content blocks. We used a simple system of 'class' names to allow admins to control the look of their content, whilst maintaining the ability to update the website styles with site-wide control in the future.

The step-change in what Alzheimer's Research UK could achieve through the main website meant that we were able to carry out a rationalisation of microsites, landing pages, the web shop and other 3rd party tools. This provided greater consistency, improved Search Engine Optimisation and reduced costs.

We have recently integrated the website Events forms with JustGiving, so supporters can create their JustGiving fundraising page at sign-up. We are currently working on the Corporate Supporters area of the website, to supplement and maximise income generation through corporate giving.
